Measurements are expressed in scientific notation which means the decimal moves as per indicated number. E-1 means you move the decimal one (1) space to the left. E1 means you move the decimal  (1) one space to the right.  Example: 1.63E4 equals 16,300; 1.63E-4 equals 0.000163
