A
compressed air powered vacuum lifter for handling large cylindrical components
that require close positioning into assemblies or stacking onto skids is being
introduced by ANVER Corporation of Hudson, Massachusetts.
The ANVER APU Series Vacuum Lifter is
designed for lifting a cylindrical component into an assembly or skid
where it needs to be positioned close to others. Designed to assure they are
balanced properly, it features a long, narrow suction pad with two plastic
guides and an end stop that can be adjusted along a beam, and has two handles to
simplify alignment.
Suitable for use under cranes, hoists, balancers, and robots, the ANVER APU
Series Vacuum Lifter runs on standard shop air and includes a 9V battery
operated audio-visual alarm system that senses the peak vacuum level during each
lifting cycle and triggers if there is a 10% loss of vacuum with a leakage rate
of less than 1-1/2” Hg per second from the peak. |
